About First Gen 411

My name is Alyssa and I am a first-generation college student. Being a first gen is hard. There is so much to learn about the college search, application, and enrollment process. When you are a first gen, it can feel like you have nobody to turn to - like you are completely alone. That is why I have started First Gen 411.

First Gen 411 is a blog that aims to provide other first-generation college students with the information and resources necessary to be successful. Each post will focus on a different aspect of the college experience, from how to choose a college to how to get involved on campus.
